Scientist Solutions Innovative Student Project Grant – 2011

ScientistSolutions.com is motivating innovative projects by awarding grants for up to 10 students who are currently enrolled in a Masters Degree program in the biological sciences at an accredited University or Research Institute in India. (Students who would be doing short term summer projects can also apply)

Project Proposal
Topics for research can be from any of the categories found on the Scientist Solutions forum. The proposed project work should be originally carried by the award recipient and it should not have been submitted elsewhere for any other degree. The SSISPA applicatants must register in www.ScientistSolutions.com (It’s free) and complete their bench space including their picture. The applicants who will be actively participating in the discussion board of Scientist Solutions forum (Minimum 5 posts excluding jobs and meeting announcements) will be preferred for the award. Sponsor
All applicants supported by the Scientist Solutions Innovative Student Project Award (SSISPA) must be counseled and guided by a senior investigator interested in the conduct and progress of their research project. Accordingly, all applicants MUST provide evidence of their enrollment in a Masters Degree program (Scanned Copy of Student Identity Card) and statements of support from a principal investigator in whose lab the research will be performed.

Review Criteria
Evaluation of the submitted proposals will be performed by the Moderators of ScientistSolutions.com. All decisions of the reviewing Moderators will be final. Applicants should never contact the Moderators regarding their applications. Discussing scientific content of the application or attempting to influence review outcome will constitute a conflict of interest in the review and the application will not be considered further.

Award Delivery
Results will be announced at the end of  June 2011 and Recipients of the award will receive SSISPA award certificate and $50 (US) cash prize upon submission of completed project report to ScientistSolutions.com. The summary of the study should be published as featured blog.

Application deadline
All applications must be received at grants@scientistsolutions.com by 12:00 midnight IST (UTC+5:30) on March 31st, 2011.

Your application email should have three separate files:

1) Your research proposal; “Your name_SSISPA_2011.doc” (MS Word file in compatible mode)

2) The completed PDF application form with signed approval from your mentor.  

3) A scanned copy of your Institutional ID. (in PDF format)
