About the Conference
Tumkur University is organizing two-day National level Conference on “Nuclear Applications, Hazards and Safety Measures” on 10 and 11 February 2012. In the present situation the conference seems to be relevant and more useful. The conference aims to bring scientists, faculty and students involved in research in the field of nuclear reactors, nuclear accelerators, nuclear medicine, radiation monitoring, bio-leaching of radioactive ores and study the socio- economic impact of nuclear energy on the same platform.
The objective of the conference is to present state-of-the-art scientific results, encourage academic and industrial interaction and to promote collaborative research and development activities in nuclear applications, hazards and safety measures.
The Conference covers very important topics, provides grand stage to opening discussion and motivates the Scientists, Faculty, Research scholars and students interested in Nuclear Physics.
The uniqueness of the conference is that along with Department of Physics, Department of Bio-Technology, Department of Economics, Department of Political Science and Department of Social work are actively participating in the conference. This helps to share the knowledge between Sciences and Social Sciences.

Abstract Submission Guidelines:
All persons engaged in the original work/projects related to various aspects of above discussion themes may submit the abstract in the prescribed format, on or before 25th January 2012 (e-mail:spal12pm@gmail.com). A maximum of two abstracts can be submitted by research group. However, research students are encouraged to submit abstracts under student competition category.
- Abstract should not exceed 500 words.
- Authors are requested to strictly follow the given format (Download template here).
- The organizing committee reserves the right to accept or reject the abstract.
