SUMMER TRAINING IN PHYSICS AND CHEMISTRY (STIPAC – 23)
May- 29 To July- 07, 2023
Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research is conducting a six week Summer Training Programme in Physics (STIP-23) and Chemistry (STIC-23) for students entering their final year of regular or integrated MSc (Physics/Chemistry). (Students completing MSc in 2023 should not apply)
This six-week long programme will comprise both theoretical lecture courses and hands-on laboratory experience through projects. This programme is aimed at motivating students to pursue a career in research.
The theme for this year’s course is Role of defects in materials
Twenty-Five students will be selected in each discipline (Physics and Chemistry). The selected students will
be provided with
- A Stipend of Rs. 11000/- will be given for the complete duration of the course
- Subsidized accommodation on a payment basis
- Travel expenses by sleeper class train/bus(non-AC)
Eligibility: A consistently good academic track record with a First Class in BSc and First Semester of MSc and with a strong desire to take up a research career.
