Workshop on Recent Advances in Materials Chemistry

About the Lecture Workshop:

The theme of the workshop is to emphasize the significance of the advanced materials preparations, characterizations and their potential applications. This would be a great multidisciplinary platform for the interaction with reputed scientists, academicians and industrialists. It also opens up avenues by bringing the recent researches for industrial applications for the societal development and human well being.

Energy Materials – including all aspects of Materials Chemistry related to energy generation, conversion and storage. Environmental Materials – the design, synthesis and applications of materials that facilitate processes to provide a sustainable environment. Biomaterials – materials for tissue engineering and healthcare, green biomaterials and advanced synthesis methods of biomaterials. Electronic, Magnetic and Optical Materials – encompassing inorganic, organic, hybrid and nano materials, soft matter and interfaces.

The materials chemistry research work carried out in our country with a chemistry perspective will be presented by eminent academicians. The Workshop will also provide a common platform for interaction of the young students with the following galaxy of learned academicians from Central Universities, IIT’s, IISc and leading CSIR Institutions in India.

Registration

Duly filled-in registration form is to be sent to the Coordinator of the Workshop
on or before February 25, 2014. Spot registration may kindly be avoided. Only 200
participants will be selected based on the applications received. Selected participants will be intimated by March 1, 2014. Workshop kit, lunch and refreshments will be provided. No Registration Fee.

Travel and Accommodation
No TA/DA will be provided to outstation participants. Requests for
accommodation will not be entertained.
