Post Name: Technical Officer I : 1 Post (Unreserved)
Qualification : (i) First or high second class M.Sc. degree in Physics/Maths / Geophysics / Electronics or B.E. (Electronics) (ii) 2 years experience of working in the relevant field in a reputed Research Laboratory / Institute/ University.
Experience : Knowledge and experience in any one of the following : a) Geomagnetism and related fields b) Computer networking, hardware and software c)Electronics
Location : Headquarters, Navi Mumbai or Magnetic Observatory,
Maximum Age : 30 years

Post Name: Fellow : 2 Posts ( Both Reserved For SC) 1 Post Anticipated (Reserved For OBC)
Qualification : A First class Master’s degree in Physics/Geophysics/Mathematics. Preference will be given to those who have Doctorate degree in Geomagnetism or Allied fields or have 3 years research experience in these fields in a reputed Research Laboratory/Institution/University
Experience : Knowledge and experience in one or more of the following : a) Archeomagnetism / Environmental magnetism b) Geophysical Techniques c) Computer networking and proficiency in use of software like Matlab d) Instrumentation e)Numerical Analysis and Mathematical Modeling f) Space Physics
Location : Headquarters, Navi Mumbai OR at any of the Regional Centres of the Institute, viz Allahabad or Tirunelveli.
Maximum Age : 40 years with relaxation for SC post , 38 years with relaxation for OBC post

Location : Equatorial Geophysical Research Laboratory, Krishnapuram, Tirunelveli.
