National Conference on Current Trends In Particles Physics (CTPPR-2014)

The 1st National Conference on Current Trends In Particles Physics (CTPPR-2014), will be organized at Department of Physics, University of Kalyani, Kalyani, Nadia, West Bengal during March 13 to 15, 2014. The CTPPR aims to create a platform for budding researchers in theoretical physics especially high energy physics to interact and network with eminent scientists in this field. The Conference will cover invited talks by leading experts, poster/oral presentation of contributed papers by promising researchers. The Conference organizing committee cordially invites all the scientists and students engaged in research in the broad areas of theoretical physics and related fields to participate in the auspicious event.

The conference is being organized at University of Kalyani. The University of Kalyani is one of India’s premier academic and research institutions that has always driven new ways of thinking from its foundation in 1960. Although this university has a large rural base but the University’s work does not stop at the campus boundaries. Today when India represents the second largest system of higher education in the world the University of Kalyani with its regional specificities is playing a very important role by empowering individuals with varied backgrounds to challenge conventional thinking in pursuit of original ideas. The University is only 51 Km way from the capital of West Bengal, Kolkata. 

Interested participants want to present poster or to give oral presentation are requested to submit a ONE PAGE abstract in the specified format by January 15, 2014 as per the guidelines and instructions provided in the website. Use MS word 2003 or higher version to prepare the abstract.

The acceptation letters of abstracts with the category of presentation (oral/poster) will be intimated to the participants by email within January 25, 2014.

A ‘Proceedings’ containing abstracts of presented posters and oral presentations including the invited talks will be made available to the participants during the conference.

A poster board of area of 1m x 1m will be provided for each poster presentation.

It is necessary that all participants excluding invited speakers should register for the conference to confirm their participation. Registration will enable you to entitle for conference lunch, dinner and conference kit including accommodation (subject to the availability). Filled registration form should be send by email to ctppr.ku@gmail.com. Registration fees are as below. 

Limited number of Accommodation will be provided for the outsiders of Kalyani on first come first serve basis with no extra cost. The participants seeking accommodation should apply to the convener by plane paper along with the registration form on or before 31st January, 2014. Accommodation cannot be guaranteed for the participants with late registration. 

Financial assistance towards travel by train (sleeper class) by the shortest route can be provided to a limited number of deserving students. Applications for assistance must be accompanied by a letter of recommendation from research guide/ Head of the Department. Request can be made to the Convener by email along with the registration form.
